Clustering

The process of grouping physical or abstract objects into classes of similar object.

A general term that describes any effort to help people understand the significance of data by placing it in a visual context. Patterns, trends and correlations that might go undetected in text-based data can be exposed and recognized easier with data visualization software.

Data Warehouse

A storage architecture designed to hold data extracted from transaction systems, operational data stores and external sources. Decision Support System

A Decision Support System is a computerized information system used to support decision-making in an organization or a business. A Decision Support System lets users sift through and analyze massive amounts of data and compile information that can be used to solve problems and make better decisions.

Distribution

The activities associated with moving materials from source to destination. Can be associated with movement from a manufacturer or distributor to customers, retailers or other secondary warehousing / distribution points.

Distribution Expense is the cost incurred by a producer incident to activities connected with placing a finished product in the hands of a customer (as the expense of selling, advertising, shipping)
