10 Questions for Steve
How long have you been at Profit Point and why did you choose to work here?
Almost 5 years. There were a lot of reasons that Profit Point appealed to me but not having a 1.5 hour daily commute (if traffic was moving) was a big part of the decision.
Where do you live and why did you choose that place?
I live in West Haven, Utah a rural suburb of Ogden. We moved here because it was close to family and had a lot of wide open space.
How long is your commute to your office space?
If my kids aren’t hosting a tea party on the stairs (no idea why they like that location)… it’s about 20 seconds and that includes getting coffee.
How do you describe what you do for a living to family and friends?
I’m a software developer.
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Profit Point?
When I first started with Profit Point I wasn’t sure how much I would like working from home but now that I’ve become used to it I don’t know if I could go back to a cubicle.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
Cooking and playing games with my kids.
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
We bought a used motor home last fall so this summer we’ve been going camping as often as possible.
What’s your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?
I’m not into sports but we have a Nintendo Switch and are all a little obsessed with playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Before working at Profit Point, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I was a telemarketer for about 2 days before the sense of self-loathing became unbearable.
What is the best view inside or outside your home?
The back deck of the house early in the morning. You can hear roosters crowing, birds chirping and can see the neighbors horses, open fields and the mountains in the distance.
